Good news for everybody suffering from not normal hair loss. A natural product based on the seed from fenugreek, which even makes new hair grow. During a study made in Finland, stronger hair growth was noticed by 80% of those who used the fenugreek product.
(Hair grows like this: The hair does not grow all the time, but in phases. Approx. 90% of the head hair is at any time in a growth phase. In this phase, that lasts from two to six years, die head han grows approx. 1 cm a month. The remaining 10% of the hair is in a resting phase. This lasts two to three months. When the resting phase is over, you loose these hairs. They fall out of the hair follicle and are being replaced by new budding hair. (It is normal to loose as much as 100 hairs every day.)
It is a so called double blind study, made in Finland, which forms the foundation for this promising announcement. 80% of the participants of this study who had the fenugreek product had stronger and increased growth of the hair.
About 400.000 men and 100.000 women suffers from hair loss, which goes far beyond the normal. Three factors make up the most important causes, which are age, inheritance and the amount of the male sex hormone testosteron in the body.
According to research results which were published at a press conference in Helsingfors. a lot of these people now get help — and this from a natural product without any side effects. The name of the product is Arcon Tisane, which is based on fenugreek. It is German, has been sold in Norway for some years, and has been subject of several studies.
The last study, a so called double blind study, were made in Finland last year. It was made by Annikki Hagros-Koski, one of the worlds best specialists for hair problems. The study lasted six months and included 100 men and women in the age 20 to 70 years. All had hormonal determined hair loss, which had lasted from 2 to 40 years.
Half of the participants had one Arcon Tisane tablet daily and the Arcon Biospray was sprayed in the oral cavity in the morning and in the evening. The other half of the participants had placebo products — non-effect-copy products. At the beginning of the study photographs and videos shots of all the participants were taken, and the bald places were measured. After six months this was repeated.
- What we found was very encouraging, Hagros-Koski says.
She has an academic back- ground, with amongst others, a bachelor degree in natural science and has dedicated most of her professional life to hair and hair problems.
In the group that took the natural authentic product, everyone had hair growth improvement. With as many as 80% of the men the growth was moderate to a clear improvement. Their age and how long they had suffered from hair loss did not seem to affect the result.
Amongst the female participants, which were in the minority, 60 % reached a similar result, On the female side the placebo group also reached a small improvement of the hair growth. The explanation of this can be that women take more care of their hair, are in a better condition and focus more on the food than men do, when they participate in a test like this, says Hagros-Koski. She underlines that factors which affect the hair and the hair growth negatively, which are stress, bad nutrition, smoking and bad circulation of the blood.
It is the same with hair as it is with the things we plant in the ground. Without care and proper nutrition, the condition for growth are bad, she says.
Patience is important
Does this test really gives hope for baldness?
Yes, but it is not done over night. For those who reached the best results in this test, it wiIl even last at least one and a half year before you can say, they have really got their hair back. This is because the hair has a growth cycle of two to six years. But during a treatment of half a year with the natural product which we have tested, the individual clearly will be able to see that the hair starts to grow again. Patience is therefore a keyword, she says..
How does the natural product work?
Fenugreek, which is the most important ingredient in Arcon Tisane, dilates the small blood vessels. which supplies the hair roots with nutrition. Furthermore the product contains B-vitamins as folsyre, nicotine acid and kalsiumpantotenat. substances which are important for a fresh and healthy hair. The biospray, which our test persons used together with the hair vitamins, shall reduce or neutralise the so called DHT-effect in a naturally way. When the hair loss has hormonal courses, the testosterone will be turned into dihydrotestosterone. DHT. This leads to the hair root being deformed and then unable absorb the nutrition. The result will be that the hair root dies, something that also leads to hair loss, especially on the top of the head, Hagros-Koski says, and adds:
Dead hair roots cannot be repaired, but with the help of certain nutrition substances which those natural products supply, new hair roots will grow fresh and then the hair will grow again.
This is Fenugreek:
Fenugreek, Trigonella foenum-graecum. is a pea plant, which originally comes from Sôrvest-Asja. and the eastern Mediterrenean countries. It was the Arabs who took it with them to Europe. Back to the Pharaohs the plant was used to treatment of different ailments. The old Egyptians used it at birth (for the same reason pregnant women shall not eat Fenugreek). It has been used against inflammation, fever and infections in the respiratory passages. The old Indians mixed the seeds with peanut oil against hair loss.
Today scientific tests shows that Fenugreek not only has an effect on hair loss, but also a lowering of the cholesterol. The product which is sold as Arcon Tisane, has an amazing back ground. In the end of the seventies a German painter looked in the old herb book from his grandmother, to look for something against his chronic bronchitis. The result was that he started to drink Fenugreek tea. For three month he drank 2 litres daily. His bronchitis disappeared and he noticed a positive side effect Hair started to grow on his bald head again. After further three months with this special tea all his original hair had returned. He then tried to sell bottled tea, but because of the wicked taste and the bad smell, he could not sell it very well. Tests of the tea were sent to his brother- in -law who was a Bio engineer. When hair grows again!
Roger Andersen was looking desparately for a solution, for his hair-loss on the top of his head. “It was not funny losing my hair. But fortunately I did not accept that,I would lose all my hair. And he is very pleased with the result.
I am not afraid of getting old, but I am very interested in the way I look The hair effects my looks and is very important. Because friends told me a while ago, that I was getting thin at the top of my head, I focused a lot on that. Until then I had not seen the bald spot myself I had to use the mirror to continuously to monitor the condition.
And what I found was not very encouraging. I was about to get bald on the top of my head. Till then I had heard about people who would comb the hair from the back of their head, to cover the bald spots. That was the silliest thing I had ever heard, but now I started to do it myself.
Roger Andersen smiles while he is sitting there with his full head of hair. When he bends forward you can see the top of the head, but that is anything else than bald.
It is growing fantastic up there now. And that is not all: the hair has also become fuller and stronger, he says.
Roger has always had long hair. As he was going bald, he found out that he had two choices. Either he had to shave his head totally, or find another solution of the problem. He chose the last, and asked many hairdressers for advice. But no one could help him.
For a periode he thought about hair transplantation. But if his hair kept falling out, he would have to repeat the transplantations again and again, and that was too much. One day he went to a health shop. Perhaps they had something that could help him?
That was the best thing I did, because they recommended Arcon Tisane, and it turned out to be the answer to all my prayers, he says.
In August last year Roger started to take the tablets, which are based on the seeds from Fenugreek. At the same time he used the spray (from the same producer) twice a day, orally. Together with the products, he got advice to give the scalp the correct massage daily, he should lay down with his head low and his legs high to increase the blood flow.
After three month he had his reward. Now he could see new hair on the spot which used to be bald. Half a year after he had started the treatment, the hair had grown so much , that you had to look carefully to see the naked scalp underneath the hair.
I imagine I have to take the products another year or so, to be sure the spot is totally covered with thick hair, but I’ll gladly do that he says.
